Caring for your Cutting Board
How To & How Often to Maintain:
Wooden cutting boards should be kept clean and daily maintenance is a good scrub with hot soapy water after using. Soaking your cutting boards in water WILL cause damage. Absolutely no dishwasher use! Using a very weak bleach solution or hydrogen peroxide to clean your boards after they've been used for cutting raw meat is a precaution against bacterial contamination. Depending on how often you use your boards, maintenance should be at least every couple months.
Everyday Use:
Simply wash your board with your regular dish soap at your sink & with a scrubber brush. Dry with a cloth.
